The Americans did not ask the League of Nations
permission to liberate Europe from the claws of
Hitler. Because of unilateral actions, the French
are not speaking German today. Fortunately we have
a strong country that has the courage to fight
dictators. When human rights watchers determined that about
10,000 Iraqis died per year or about 320,000 people
at the hands of Saddam's repressive and brutal
regime since 1970, the pacifists did not say a
word. Where were the demonstrators?
When
the Nazis were committing atrocities against
the Jews, putting them in concentration camps
and gas chambers, torturing and killing them,
nobody wanted to see and hear about it. Where
were the demonstrators?
When Israel humiliates Palestinians, slaughters
civilians, seizes the sovereign territory of other
nations, violates international law, makes atomic
bombs, creating 800,000 refugees and not allowing
them to return to their land and gets away with
it. Where are the demonstrators? When the Talibans were killing Afghans, torturing
women and children, stopping girls from going to
school, preventing women from visiting a doctor,
everyone was living on the hope that tomorrow would
be better. Where were the demonstrators?
When the Hutus were disseminating the Tutsis in
Rwanda, half a million people died in two weeks.
The International community sat back paying lip
service. Where were the demonstrators?
When China invaded Tibet and the Dalai Lama was
asking for help. Where were the demonstrators?
When Europe intervened in Kosovo without the permission
of the United Nations, at the time, nobody went
to the streets to protest American military actions.
Where were the demonstrators?
When the Russians were killing the Chechens everybody
sat home quietly. Where were the demonstrators?
When Castro, the oldest communist dictator since
1959, killed, tortured, and sent people to prison
just for expressing an opinion, and to date, Cubans
can hardly eat, taking rafts to reach the Florida
coast risking their lives and no one says a word.
Where are the demonstrators?
When Chavez is trying hard to establish a socialist
dictatorship, destroying the economy, firing 18,000
workers from the PDVSA, divides a country, and
the voices of world leaders are silent. Where are
the demonstrators?
While Syria is under the total control of the
Assad family, Libya is smothered by the Kaddafi
family, Egypt suffers the Mubarak family, Saudi
Arabia endures the corruption of the Royal family,
and Zimbabwe is suffering under the despotic government
of Mugabe, etc. etc. Where are the demonstrators?
When
the Iran-Iraq war of the 80’s left
1 million dead everybody watched passively. Where
were the bleeding heart demonstrators?
The FARC of Colombia kills innocent civilians,
and exports Cocaine to the World destroying families
we do not see people in the streets. Where are
the demonstrators?
When Aristide the Supreme Taliban priest of Haiti
starves his people to death and imposes a populist
dictatorship worst than that of Papa Doc, we do
not see the outrage. Where are the demonstrators?
When Pablo Escobar was terrifying the Colombian
people, dictating the laws of a whole country,
killing people like mosquitoes, everyone was dancing
in discotheques, it was business as usual. Where
were the demonstrators?
When people are being killed every five minutes
in Brasil, gangs run the streets of Rio de Janeiro
with impunity, kidnappings are routine, corrupt
politicians steal money from the State and deposit
it overseas, no one gets upsets. Where are the
demonstrators?
When the Ayatollahs of Iran keep their people
suppressed, women desperate, young citizens under
absolute religious brainwashing, we do not talk
about that. Where are the demonstrators?
When Kim controls every aspect of the life of
North-Koreans, starve them to death, build atomic
bombs, blackmails the world, the streets are empty.
Where are the demonstrators?
When human rights organizations defend the criminals
and forget about the victims, the Hollywood artists
do not go on television to denounce them. Where
are the demonstrators?
When millions of people starve everyday and millions
do not get any healthcare and die because of simple
illness nobody utters a word. Where are the demonstrators?
When Presidents of big companies make several
millions per month and people in Indonesia make
$ 25 monthly, we do not get mad. Where are the
demonstrators?
When Charles Taylor the butcher of Liberia was
using young men as soldiers to make millions with
the diamond trade to pile an even bigger stash
in Switzerland, everyone tolerated it. Where were
the demonstrators?
When Mobutu of Zaire was financing a bunch of
mercenaries to defend his corrupt regime, we did
not hear any voices. Where were the demonstrators?
When Osama Bin Laden blew up the WTC and almost
4,000 people died, we received letters of condolences
only. Where were the demonstrators?
When Ceausescu of Romania was dominating the whole
population with an iron hand, and was murdering
and committing genocide, we did not see the leaders
of the free world condemning it. Where were the
demonstrators?
Finally,
it is fair to say that the philosophy of bleeding
heart liberal demonstrators is based on a double
standard. We have the impression that their lack
of lucidity and seriousness causes them to develop
an anti-Americanism that is not based on anything
more than partisan attitude with no respect for
the real truth.
This is why we dare to say that they are a bunch
of
HYPOCRITICAL DEMONSTRATORS |
